While it looks nice and all, this isn't Quicksilver Forums anymore than Quicksilver Forums is MercuryBoard. So I'm going to throw this out to whoever would like a crack at it. Sorry, but I haven't got the funding to sponsor a logo contest
I haven't got one lick of graphics talent. I can make modifications to existing stuff but that's about the extent of it. QSFP could seriously use a logo that belongs with the product. The only thing I ask is that it be a PNG file and have a transparent background so it will work with whatever color skin people might want - assuming the leave the logo in place.
I'd like the new logo to launch with QSFP 1.4.0 which is more or less ready to go but is receiving minor tweaks here and there before going out the door. If you come up with something, feel free to post the results in an image tag here and I'll select the one I think looks best.

It sounds like you've got more graphics talent than I do, but I'll relay the challenge to Dragona in case she wants to take a shot at it.

Me? Graphic talent? Maybe I should have mentioned that the extent of my ability is limited to removing pixel-level defects from things. Like trimming off the white edges of some of the emoticons so they look ok on non-white backgrounds. Not hard, just tedious since you have to magnify sections of an image pretty large.

Ok, so maybe Dragona's got you equalled then.. but you've both got me beat.

Following Conner's advice, took a trip to cooltext.com and for the moment, came up with:
It isn't the greatest logo on Earth, but it'll pass for now. I don't want to hold up the release of 1.4.0 any longer for this.
